Modern Research on Jujube
Jujube has immune stimulating effect, anti-oxidation and anti-aging effect, anti-tumor effect, anti mutation effect and anti allergic reaction of type 1.
Chemical constituents:
Jujube contains malic acid, tartaric acid, birch acid and so on;
Sugars contains polysaccharides and water soluble carbohydrate D- D- glucose, fructose, oligosaccharides, araban, chitosan.
Organic compounds include amino acids, vitamins A, B2, C, P, and adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), including protein, aspartic acid, amino acids and so on;

Although the effective components and mechanism of jujube have been reported, it is necessary to improve the preparation process and dosage form to make it more suitable for clinical use. There is no modern research on some traditional applications such as jujube ease resistance, spleen dampness, its mechanism needs further study, to a more comprehensive understanding of jujube.
