It can kill Plasmodium in the intraerythrocytic stage and achieve antimalarial effect, thus it can be used for all kinds of malaria patients, especially for the treatment of patients with chloroquine-resistant and piperaquine resistant falciparum malaria and fatal cerebral malaria, with high antimalarial activity, fast fever reduction, short transfer time of protozoa and low toxic side effects. It is the drug of choice for the treatment of severe malaria.

It has a strong killing effect on Plasmodium asexualis and can rapidly control malaria attacks.
