Potassium Sorbate Echa, also known as potassium 2,4-hexadienoate, is the potassium salt of sorbic acid, the molecular formula is C6H7O2K, white to light yellow scale-like crystals, crystal particles or crystal powder, odorless or slightly odorless, long exposure to air is easy to absorb moisture, be oxidation decomposition and discoloration. Easily soluble in water, soluble in propylene glycol and ethanol. It is often used as a preservative.
