DiindoleMethane Powder:
Diindolylmethane powder (DIM) is a molecule named for its structure, two indole groups attached to a methane group. It is commonly found in broccoli and holds promise as a molecular and aromatase inhibitor for anticancer effects. It has a potent effect on estrogen metabolism and is able to keep the body in relative balance (by preventing sharp increases or decreases in estrogen). DIM also exerts numerous anti-cancer effects in the body and is one of the reasons this vegetable family is considered healthy. The aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) has been pointed out to have a role in some immune cells, and activation of this receptor (observed with 10 μM 3,3'-diindolylmethane) in natural killer (NK) cells can increase IFN- γ and effector functions, thereby increasing their inhibitory effect on cancer cell growth.
