1. Antibacterial effect: The alcoholic extract of Cassia seed has inhibitory effects on Staphylococcus, diphtheria bacilli, typhoid bacilli, paratyphoid bacilli, and Escherichia coli, while the aqueous extract is ineffective.

2. Antifungal effect: Using the test tube dilution method, the aqueous extract showed inhibitory effects at a dilution of 1:20 against Microsporum audouinii and at a dilution of 1:10 against Trichophyton schoenleinii and Microsporum gypseum.

3. Hypotensive effect: Both the aqueous and ethanol extracts have hypotensive effects on anesthetized dogs, cats, and rabbits.

4. Lipid-lowering effect: Feeding rats with 6g/animal of Cassia seed decoction or powder for 8 weeks reduced plasma cholesterol and triglycerides, and decreased liver triglyceride content in experimentally induced hyperlipidemic rats.

5. Anti-platelet aggregation effect: Feeding rats with 6g/kg of Cassia seed decoction or powder for 8 weeks inhibited ADP-induced platelet aggregation in rats.
