Pine Bark Extract Powder is a kind of substance extracted from pine bark.The pine bark peeled from the tree is collected and evenly extracted.They contain large amounts of compounds called OPCs (proanthocyanidin oligomers). In 16th century, French Jacques Cartier's expedition was saved from annihilation due to scurvy by tea made from pine bark and leaves. The polyphenols in the bark are thought to have improved their vitamin C deficiency.
